The FCA announced a delay to the publication of its interim report on the asset management market study, which is now due to be released in Q4 2016. The aim of the market study is to understand whether competition is working effectively to enable both institutional and retail investors to get value for money when purchasing asset management services. The FCA published the terms of reference of the market study in November 2015. The interim report will set out those areas that the FCA believes raise concerns and those where no or few problems have been found. The FCA expects to publish the final report in early 2017.
