An increasing number of IP owners are receiving unsolicited and misleading letters from companies requesting payment for Patent, Trade Mark and Design services.
Recently, once such company has appeared with a very similar logo and name to that of the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), please see sample invoice here.
Please be aware these companies are in no way associated with the OHIM.
Official bodies such as the OHIM never send invoices to users or letters requesting direct payment for services.
You can find a list of firms and registers with complaints against them and examples of the letters being sent here.
If you have any doubt regarding the authenticity of a letter or invoice you have received, do not pay the invoice.
