The EU published the Regulation on OTC Derivatives, Central Counterparties (CCP) and Trade Repositories (EMIR) in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) on 27 July. EMIR will come into force 20 days after its publication. However, many technical standards and details must still be finalised by the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) and adopted by the Commission. (Source: EMIR in OJEU 27 July 2012)
