The draft law in relation to cancellation of a number of procedures requiring permits of the state authorities in agriculture business is to be discussed in the Verkhovna Rada soon.

The draft law was prepared by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine following public discussions with businessmen, NGOs, state representatives and other experts in the agricultural sector that took place in the first six months of 2015.

It is proposed to abolish or limit 22 procedures that require obtaining permits from the state authorities. The rationale behind such amendments is to update Ukrainian legislation in line with the requirements of the World Trade Organization and to harmonize it with EU regulations.
