It has been reported that police in the Netherlands are currently training eagles to take down rogue quadcopters.
Whilst highly experienced tech firms and law enforcement attempt to take out drones with the likes of radio jammers, the country’s police clearly have a different and more unusual take on how this should be done. They have decided to collaborate with a raptor training company named Guard From Above for the purposes of experimenting with eagles to see if they can be used to safely intercept quadcopters.
Luckily for eagles, it has been reported that a number of other animals seem to instinctively want to take down drones, including kangaroos, gorillas, geese, and dogs. Click here to watch the video evidence!
If a helping hand is on its way from some other animals, it is likely that the drones don’t stand a chance!
