A.  AL2016-008, EAMC Lanier, LLC, Valley, AL: Proposes to renovate a space for the conversion of seventeen (17) acute care beds to seventeen (17) inpatient rehabilitation beds, which was approved by the SHCC through an adjustment to the Alabama State Health Plan 2014-017 for Chambers County and was approved by Gov. Bentley on August 31, 2015. Opposition: None

RV2016-013, Homestead Hospice, requests to consolidate two parent providers currently located in Choctaw and Dallas Counties, into one surviving parent provider (Dallas County) and one satellite provider (Choctaw County). RV2016-021, Renal Treatment Centers – Southeast, LP d/b/a Barbour County Dialysis, requests to establish a new ESRD Treatment Facility consisting of eight (8) in-center  hemodialysis stations, one (1) of which will be a hemodialysis isolation station, and two (2) home training stations to be used alternately for home dialysis training and peritoneal dialysis home training for a total of ten (10) stations. III.  NEW BUSINESS

Declaratory Ruling 149:

Providence Hospital, Infirmary Health System, Inc. d/b/a Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, and Springhill Hospitals, Inc. d/b/a Springhill Memorial Hospital have submitted a Petition for Declaratory Ruling, requesting that the CON Review Board reverse the reviewability determination (RV2014-028), dated March 16, 2016, issued by the Executive Director of the Alabama State Health Planning and Development Agency (SHPDA) regarding the proposal by Surgicare of Mobile, Ltd. (Surgicare) to expand its existing ambulatory surgery center (ASC) in Mobile, Alabama.

The Board denied the Petition for Declaratory Ruling.

The next CON Review Board meeting will be held on May 18, 2016.
