Andre Porter, who was recently appointed to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), will become that panel’s new chair as Tom Johnson steps down from the position (see our March 30, 2015 blog post for more on this), according to a report from Gongwer Ohio. Governor John Kasich appointed Porter as the new PUCO chairman one day after naming Jacqueline Williams to be Porter’s replacement as the director of the Ohio Department of Commerce. Porter served on the PUCO panel before leading the commerce department. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Capital University and a juris doctor from Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law.
