We reported in our April update that there was an error with the online Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) service whereby individuals were having to "overpay" and then seek a refund. We are happy to report that this error now appears to be fixed. Therefore, a Tier 2 migrant who is required to work in the UK for 12 months will only need to pay the IHS for 12 months. As a reminder, the IHS is calculated in six month blocks. Therefore, someone who is required to work for nine months will have to pay the IHS for a full 12 months.
