Mark Hoban also spoke at a dinner for private equity and venture capital specialists. He discussed the important role of private equity and focused on the Government's objective to get changes to the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive to support the industry. He said the major concerns are still over a workable third-country passport, and on disclosure and capital adequacy in target companies. He said he expected the Belgian presidency to make the Directive a priority in September.
