The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will hold a June 29, 2012, public meeting in Washington, D.C., to discuss draft permitting guidance on the use of diesel fuel in oil and gas hydraulic fracturing. 77 Fed. Reg. 36,273 (6/18/12). The agency requests specific input on (i) diesel fuels descriptions, (ii) diesel fuels usage information, (iii) permit duration and well closure, (iv) area of review, (v) information submitted with the permit application, and (vi) monitoring. EPA asks that those wishing to attend register in advance. A link to the draft guidance is provided in the Federal Register notice.
