Return of test purchasing: The Home Secretary has launched a ‘modern crime prevention strategy’ one element of which is to reduce access to knives through retail. The strategy highlights agreement to a series of further actions by seven major retailers – to be monitored by ‘test purchasing’. The Gambling Commission has also announced the launch of a test purchasing campaign with Trading Standards.
