Watch Chris Carmody and Robert Stuart, two of GrayRobinson's legislative professionals, in this week's video update on Florida politics, government and the legal intersection of both. In this episode, Chris and Robert interview House Majority Leader and Representative Dana D. Young.

House Majority Leader Dana D. Young, was elected to the Florida House of Representative in 2010 and represents District 60. Dana holds the Majority Leader role until 2016.

Rep. Young started her politcial career in 1984, she was a Congressional Intern for Congressman Don Faqua and then in 1991 had a Clerkship with the United State Department of Justice.  In 2011, she was appointment to Deputy Majority Whip and in 2012 served as Deputy Majority Leader and Majority Whip.

Rep. Young earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and juris doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. She serves on the Hillsborough County Republican Executive Committee and is a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America.  Dana is a member of The Florida Bar, South Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the National Rifle Association.

Dana and her husband, Matt, have two children Alex and Carson and are residents of Tampa, Florida.
