The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has published up-dated Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. The Guidelines were last revised in 2000 and contain voluntary principles and standards for responsible business conduct in a global context. They are wide-ranging and deal with a number of issues including the environment, industrial relations, bribery and corruption and also contain a new section on human rights. The Guidelines are addressed by those states that have endorsed them to multi-national enterprises which carry on business in or from their jurisdictions. 3 OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (May 2011), available at: http://www.oecd.org/dataoecd/43/29/48004323.pdf
