On June 16, the Senate approved legislation allowing the IRS to disclose tax return information to state and local law enforcement officials searching for missing children.  The Recovering Missing Children Act (H.R. 3209) passed the House on May 10.  The legislation permits the IRS to disclose tax return information to state and local law enforcement officials who have court orders and are working with federal agencies to recover missing children.  The bill now heads to the White House.
