On 9 July 2015, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) published the ADR Directive Supplementary Instrument 2015. It makes minor changes to the definition of “chargeable case” in the FCA Handbook and to certain rules in Chapter 3 of the FCA’s Dispute Resolution: Complaints sourcebook (DISP) relating to FOS’ jurisdiction. The amendments have been made to reflect the ADR Directive which had to be implemented by member states by 9 July 2015. For the full Instrument click here.
FOS has also published a feedback statement following its consultation on a draft version of the instrument earlier this year. For the feedback statement click here.
