The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Judge, has issued interim practice guidance on the use of live, text-based communications from court for the purpose of fair and accurate reporting. These communications include social media (for example, Twitter), mobile email, and internet enabled laptops. An application (whether formal or informal) can be made for permission to use a mobile phone or laptop for this purpose.
