The CFTC will hold a roundtable discussion on proposed Regulation AT governing automated trading on June 10th at its headquarters in Washington D.C.  Topics on the agenda for the roundtable include: (1) potential amendments to the proposed definition of “Direct Electronic Access”; (2) potential quantitative measures to determine who is an “AT Person”; (3) a potential alternative to imposing direct CFTC pre-trade risk control and development, testing, and monitoring standards on AT Persons; (4) AT Persons’ compliance with elements of the proposed rule when using third-party algorithms or systems; and (5) source code access and retention.  In addition, the comment period will be re-opened from June 10th to June 24th to allow comments addressing items discussed at the roundtable.
