You have served a break notice to end your tenant’s lease, but what should you be doing next?

It may be a number of months before the termination date, however, you should not wait around and do nothing in the interim. It is important that you start to prepare for what needs to happen on the termination date, such as liaising with the tenant to ensure the property is left in the condition you require and making arrangements for handing back keys etc. It is also important you know what the tenant’s obligations are under the lease so you are able to act quickly if the tenant has not complied with any of their obligations.
