In early March, Kraft reported in public filings that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC) is investigating possible corruption at an Indian facility of the company’s Cadbury unit. Kraft had received a subpoena from the SEC on February 1, according to the filing, requesting information about company dealings with Indian government agencies and officials related to obtaining approvals for operations of the facility. Kraft said that it is cooperating with the government.
