Results of the survey on credit terms and conditions in euro-denominated securities financing and over-the-counter derivatives markets released

The European Central Bank has released details of the March 2017 survey on credit terms and conditions in euro-denominated securities financing and over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives markets. It showed credit terms offered to counterparties, both in the provision of finance collateralised by euro-denominated securities and in OTC derivatives markets, tightened for all counterparty types when comparing the three-month reference period from December 2016 to February 2017 with the previous three months. TS2 platform reliable and efficient

The Target2-Securities (TS2) Annual Report states that around 500,000 securities transactions are now being settled every day through the T2S platform, following three further migration waves in 2016 and early 2017. European Central Bank, 19 April 2017

IA welcomes the FCA's Mission Statement

Following the publication of the FCA's Mission Statement, Chris Cummings, Chief Executive of the Investment Association (IA), has released a statement saying they will "support the focus of the FCA's Mission Statement and Business Plan on ensuring that the entirety of the UK's financial sector works in the best interests of consumers and society as a whole".
