Trade Unions signed a National Interprofessional Agreement (ANI) relating to the Professional Employability Agreement (CSP) that offers, through the French Unemployment Authorities (Pôle Emploi), for employees who are dismissed for economic reasons in companies employing less than 1,000 employees, unemployment benefits and assistance to find new employment during one year. The ANI, which replaces the agreement concluded in 2011, should be approved by the State and come into force shortly.

The new provisions should, inter alia, result in a decrease in the amount of the unemployment benefits from 80% to 75% of the daily reference salary, a specific incentive for employees who find new employment by the end of their CSP and the right for the job seeker to continue to receive unemployment benefits while being simultaneously employed for a period of up to 6 months.
