The Government of Panama, through the Ministry of Public Works (www.mop.gob.pa) has called an international tender to hire the service of Specialized and Qualified Technical Assistance to ensure proper design, construction and operation of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal. 

26 Companies from countries such as Colombia, United States, Peru, England, Canada, Paraguay, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands and Panama responded to the call and participated in the meeting of approval rules and terms of procurement. 

The official reference price rounds US$ 22 million and the deadline to submit bids is on 30 November, 2015. 

The bridge will have six lanes in 1,118 meters of total length and will be between 70 and 110 meters above sea level throughout its route.
