The UK Regulators Network (UKRN) has published its work programme for 2015-2016, which also includes a review of the work done by the UKRN in 2014-2015. The UKRN proposes to continue working on the eight themes it identified for its first year, re-focusing effort on those projects which will deliver the greatest benefits for consumers and where there is the greatest possible benefit from working jointly rather than individually.

The UKRN’s objectives are: coherent and consistent economic regulation across sectors; affordability and empowerment; a positive environment for efficient investment; efficient regulation; promotion of competition in the interests of consumers; and better understanding of the effectiveness of economic regulation.
