Arizona Governor Jan Brewer recently announced that Germaine Marks will become the Acting Director of the Arizona Department of Insurance (the "ADOI") upon the retirement of current the Director, Christina Urias, on July 1st. Ms. Marks, the Deputy Director since 2003, and has been with the ADOI for 15 years. She also served as the Executive Assistant for Regulatory Affairs. Ms. Marks also worked at the Arizona Attorney General's office as an Assistant Attorney General form 1992 - 1997. She received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Nebraska and a Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.
