In July hackers calling themselves The Impact Team (TIT) illegally obtained the personal details of over 35 million subscribers to the Ashley Madison website.

In August TIT carried out their threat to make this information publicly available on the dark web. The personal details so far published include names, email addresses, sensitive profile information and credit card data.

If you are a current or past subscriber to the Ashley Madison website and know, or suspect, that your personal information has been illegally hacked; or if you believe that your name or email address has been used on the website without your consent, you may have grounds to bring a legal claim against Avid Life Media - the Canadian company responsible for operating the website.
