Today, Representatives Kenny Marchant (R-TX) and Mike Pompeo (R-KS) introduced H.R. 1901, which would phase out the production tax credit for wind and other renewable sources.  Although the credit (one of the “extender” tax provisions typically enacted on a temporary basis), expired at the end of 2014, it continues to pay recipients over a 10-year period.  In a statement, Representative Marchant referred to the credit as “deadweight in the tax code that is limiting our nation’s potential.”
