NFA proposes cybersecurity interpretive notice. The National Futures Association submitted to the CFTC a proposed Interpretive Notice to NFA Compliance Rules 2-9, 2-36 and 2-49: Information Systems Security Programs. FINRA gains approval of rule governing equity research reports. The SEC approved the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority consolidated rule addressing conflicts of interest relating to the publication and distribution of equity research reports. Certain provisions of the new rule will become effective on September 25, 2015, while all other provisions will become effective on December 24, 2015. (8/26/2015) FINRA Regulatory Notice 15-30. 

SEC approves new FINRA rule addressing debt research reports. FINRA announced that the SEC has approved its adoption of a new rule that addresses conflicts of interest in the publication and distribution of debt research reports, which will become effective February 22, 2016.
