FSB seeks comments on possible measures of non-cash collateral re-use. The Financial Stability Board published a report on Possible Measures of Non-Cash Collateral Re-Use, which describes potential ways in which non-cash collateral re-use and related data elements could be measured by national authorities for inclusion in the FSB’s global securities financing data standards for evaluating global trends and risks to financial stability. IOSCO Board considers challenges faced by global securities markets at Madrid meeting. The International Organization of Securities Commissions provided an overview of the topics discussed by Board members at a recent meeting in Madrid to address the ongoing and emerging challenges faced by global securities markets. Among other topics, IOSCO’s Board considered volatility in world capital markets; the challenges and opportunities posed by fintech and block chain; and the implications of slowing economic growth, declining commodity prices, and market volatility for global securities markets.
