The Federal Trade Commission has accused LifeLock Inc. of violating a 2010 settlement with the FTC and 35 state attorneys general concerning previous misrepresentations it had allegedly made regarding its identity theft services.  The FTC has filed a motion for contempt against Lifelock in federal court in Arizona and is seeking full redress for consumers affected by the alleged violation of the settlement.  The Commission’s filing shows that the FTC may be just as aggressive in enforcing its settlements as it is in going after companies in the first place.
