• Customs Amendment (Anti-Dumping Measures) Bill (No 1) 2015 and Customs Tariff (Anti-Dumping) Amendment Bill 2015, which both seek to strengthen and modernise Australia's anti-dumping laws, were introduced and debated in the Senate yesterday. These Bills were also referred to the Senate Economics Legislation Committee for consideration and report by 5 May 2015.
  • Omnibus Repeal Day (Autumn 2015) Bill 2015, introduced into the House of Representative yesterday, amends or repeals legislation across a number of Government portfolios. From a tax perspective, it repeals a number of redundant provisions, including provisions relating to tax concessions for certain securities (generally those issued by the previous Governments) and the former regional headquarters regime.
