The FCA has made two new Handbook Instruments:
- Fees (Alternative Dispute Resolution Competent Authority) (Financial Ombudsman Service) Instrument 2015 (the Fees Instrument). The Fees Instrument relates to the amounts payable by the FOS to the FCA to fund the FCA’s functions under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Amendment) Regulations 2015. It amends the FCA Glossary definition of FOS ADR Levy and also the FEES manual; and
- Consumer Rights Act Instrument 2015 (the CRA Instrument). The CRA Instrument amends various parts of the Handbook including the Glossary, COBS, ICOBS, MCOB, BCOBS, SUP, CREDS and CONC. The amends have been made to reflect the implementation of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
The Fees Instrument came into force on 25 September 2015. The CRA Instrument will come into force on 1 October 2015.
