The Australian Federal Police have alleged that News Limited attempted to influence a National Party senator vote on proposed media laws in 2008.

In 1998, News Limited executive, Mr Malcolm Colless, allegedly promised former National Party senator Mr Bill O’Chee that he would be “taken care of” if he voted in their interest on digital television legislation.

News Limited denies the accusations.
