ECON has published letters it sent to various committees and officials on the extensions to the scrutiny period for delegated acts under the Market Abuse Regulation (EU MAR) (see FReD 18 March and FReD 11 March for the legislation affected). The letters explain the applicable scrutiny period for the proposed regulatory technical standards (RTS) is three months, rather than the one month originally allocated, because the text submitted for scrutiny was not the same as the final draft standards submitted by ESMA in September 2015.
