On May 18th, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the "CFTC") adopted new final rules establishing swap data recordkeeping and reporting requirements for pre-enactment swaps (swaps executed prior to the passage of the Dodd-Frank Act) and transition swaps (swaps entered into between the law's enactment date and the applicable compliance date for swap data recordkeeping and reporting).
