The OTC Derivatives Regulators Group (ODRG) has published a report to the G20 on progress in identifying and resolving OTC derivatives cross-border implementation issues. According to the report, there has been further substantial progress in implementing OTC derivatives reforms within ODRG jurisdictions, and continued bilateral progress in addressing cross-border issues amongst them. The report covers the following matters: (i) deference in the context of CCPs; (ii) monitoring of substituted compliance and equivalence assessments and the sharing of information on legal or regulatory changes; (iii) co-operation on mandatory clearing determinations; and (iv) the application of rules to branches of financial institutions that operate across multiple jurisdictions.
