The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act 2010 has been signed into law. This introduces a number of wide-ranging reforms to the US Financial Regulatory system. Some of the provisions impact on non-US companies who have banking or other financial operations in the US. It may also impact on non-US companies conducting finance transactions in the areas of: swaps and derivatives; securitisation, general US debt capital markets.
