As noted in previous bulletins, the Government has decided to relax revaluation requirements so that benefits must be revalued by a minimum of the lower of RPI or 2.5%. It will only be possible to make this change in respect of future accruals and there had been some confusion over when the legislation would be brought into force. It is now expected that this relaxation will take effect from 6 April 2009.
