On 24 May the ACCC issued a draft decision proposing to allow the Lottery Agents Association of Tasmania (LAAT) and its members to collectively bargain with Tatts Group and Intralot for five years. The ACCC has also granted interim authorisation (subject to some limitations) to enable LAAT to collectively bargain with Tatts Group and Intralot pending the release and outcome of the ACCC’s final determination.

LAAT represents the majority of Tasmanian lottery agents (around 80) which sell lottery products supplied by Tatts Group and Intralot. The ACCC has previously authorised similar collective bargaining arrangements for lottery agents including newsagents, in NSW, the ACT, Victoria and Queensland.
