On December 18, 2015, the new Mexican Norm NMX-R-025-SCFI-2015 issued by the Ministry of Economy became effective.  The purpose of this Norm is to set forth the guidelines that can be followed by employers in order to implement and ensure labor equality and non-discriminatory practices in their human resources processes, favoring the integral development of workers.

The objective of this Mexican Norm is to establish the basis for the public recognition of employers that evidence the implementation of processes and compliance with practices that favor labor equality and non-discrimination, in accordance with the Mexican Federal Labor Law.      

The new Mexican Norm applies to all work centers located in Mexico, either from the public, private or social sectors, regardless of their size, economic area or line of business. 

The parties interested in the certification must follow these steps: Registration, Self Evaluation Diagnostic, and Letter of Intent for the certification process.
