On April 19, 2016, the Legislative Yuan approved amendments to Article 29 of the Business Registration Act, providing that where a business entity fails to file for a correction of its business name within six month after having been prohibited from using such business name by a final judgment, and further fails to correct the name within the time limit ordered by the relevant local authority, the local authority may revoke or withdraw the business entity’s business registration, in accordance with its authority or upon the notification of the Prosecutors or the application of interested persons.
