FSA is consulting on how it can help in the initiative to enable employees to trace employers' past liability insurers, if they have claims resulting from employment-related injury or illness. FSA plans to:
- require general insurers to tell it whether they carry out UK commercial lines employers' liability contracts; and
- if they do, to make certain policy information readily and generally available for tracing purposes.
It plans to do this by adding new rules to ICOBS. FSA asks for comment by 14 September.
