The Commission is taking Italy and Poland to the European Court of Justice for incomplete transposition of the third Capital Requirements Directive (CRD3). The Commission is using, for the first time, powers under the Lisbon Treaty to ask the Court on first referral to impose daily penalty payments for late implementation. To date, Italy has not given notification of any transposition measures, while Poland has notified some measures but not all. (Source: Commission takes Italy and Poland to Court over CRD3)
