The US Supreme Court refused to hear a lawsuit brought by Laurie Bebo, challenging the legality of a decision of the Securities and Exchange Commission to bring an enforcement action against her in an SEC administrative forum as opposed to a federal court. A US appellate court had previously ruled that Ms. Bebo must first raise her challenge in an appeal to the SEC and then to a US appellate court, before pursuing federal court remedies.
