ANP RESOLUTION No. 17 OF MARCH 20, 2015
On March 20, 2015, the Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency, (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis – "ANP") enacted Resolution No. 17/2015 ("Resolution"), introducing new technical regulations for development plans applicable to oil and natural fields.
The most relevant change in the Resolution is the introduction of technical instructions and models specific to development plans, relevant to: (i) applicants for high production fields (production of over 5 thousand boe/day); (ii) applicants for high production fields in the review of their development plans; and (iii) applicants for low production fields (production of under 5 thousand boe/day).
Additionally, the Resolution stipulates rules for the construction and operation of oil and natural gas production flow pipelines located in licensed areas.
The Resolution revokes ANP Ordinance No 90/2000 and ANP Resolution No 46/2009, which previously governed this matter.
