The Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) has, for the first time, issued standalone UK and Ireland voting guidelines which are effective for meetings on or after 1 February 2015.

The document is intended to provide investors with an insight into how ISS analyses companies in the UK and Irish markets and forms the basis of the ISS benchmark vote recommendations for companies listed in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It will also be applied to companies incorporated in other territories such as the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, and which are either listed in the UK and Ireland or on the Channel Islands Securities Exchange.
