The United States Supreme Court declined to hear the matter of Henry v. Board of Regents of the University of California. In the matter, Henry alleged that he was victim of severe raced-based harassment in the workplace. Henry alleged a history of race-based discriminatory acts, culminating in the hanging of a noose in the workplace. The United States District Court entered summary judgment for the employer, finding that the hanging of the noose was not so severe and pervasive that it altered Henry’s conditions of employment.
