Modifications of the Spanish Air Security Act *

The Act 1/2011, which entered into force last Sunday (i.e. March 6), has introduced a series of modifications in the Spanish Air Security Act 21/2003, and also established the "State Plan of Operational Security in Civil Aviation" in compliance with the requirements of both the ICAO and the EU, especially those introduced by the Regulation (EU) 996/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010 on the investigation and prevention in civil aviation and repealing Directive 94/56/CE.
