Notwithstanding ongoing criticism that the US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia has not adequately responded to or acted upon reports by the House and Senate of Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA) violations, the chief enforcement authority for the provisions of the LDA issued a press release this month reporting that a total of $80,000 in fines will be levied against two lobbying firms.
