The Supreme Court, in Home Concrete & Supply LLC v. United States, Sup. Ct. Dkt. No. 11-139 (2012), aff’g 634 F.3d 249 (4th Cir. 2011), invalidated a Treasury regulation that increased the statute of limitations for taxpayers who overstated their basis in certain assets from three to six years.
