On 20 December 2010, the Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries made The Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006 (Directions to OFCOM) Order 2010 (SI 2010/3024) (Order), setting out a number of mandates for the Office of Communications (Ofcom) on the liberalisation of electromagnetic spectrum for wireless mobile broadband services.
